Our prestige clients of this project are a couple of 2 entrepreneurs with their children both studying aboard and often travelling back home on vacations. This beautiful couple is truly enthusiasts - they are passionate about work, art, fine food and wine, and enjoy hosting families and friends. They approached Hei Design with the challenge to transform the 2,600 sq. ft. residential unit with four bedrooms into a sociable avenue which can reflect their sumptuous lifestyle and leave a lasting impression on every visitor.
With opulence in mind, we deliver this house with the hotel-inspired contemporary design that perfectly blends the colour palette, furniture, lights, accessory pieces, etc, granting an adulterated luxury ambience without compromising functionality.
By understanding the clients’ needs and our interior design intelligence, we make every inch of the space more valuable - in this case, luxuriousness is the most valued. The designer hence targets an open plan design in the living area and master bedroom that forms minimum structural hindrance and leaves blank appropriately to bring in the seaview and uplift the overall sense of luxury.
Two major modifications are made to achieve the aims. The first change is the foyer enlargement. It creates a more inviting and spacious entrance. The new foyer is now more reasonably proportioned to the unit, which makes the occupants and guests feel easy on their first step into the home. The other significant change is the transformation of a bedroom into an en-suite study room, bringing a sense of spaciousness and concurrently creating a comfortable workspace as per the client’s request.
Inspired by luxurious boutique hotels, this private lift lobby design is all about cosy grandeur. The privileged club-members-only feeling is derived from the luxurious features, including but not limited to the grand ceiling lighting, warm colour palette, marbled floor, elegant console topped up with art pieces and stylish lounge seating.
The sense of glamour continues in the foyer. The eye-catching display cabinet emulates the boutique feel of a 5-star hotel to wow the guests. It can showcase a beloved vintage handbag or a horse racing trophy - anything that celebrates life achievement on one’s own or with friends! Though natural light is absent, the embedded LED lighting strips in the cabinet and the wall brighten up the entire area. The lights also give a sense of atmosphere and leaving no displays being overlooked. The polished dark wood door, marbled floor, glass cabinet door, brass metal chair and oak wooden paneling orchestrate seamlessly, yet homely.
This home is blessed with a sweeping seaview. To bring the seaside feel inside, a light colour palette is carefully selected as the main colour tone. White, muted pastel grey and sandy beige keep this seaside living room exceptionally soothing and calm. The light tone works well under natural sunlight as well. Together with the effective illumination from cove lighting and recessed LED strips that flow through the space, the living room is bathed in a relaxing and airy atmosphere.
A few key pieces of furniture can sufficiently enrich a home with a sense of indulgence, as a true luxury home never goes gaudy. The metallic brass designer armchair, modern coffee table and dining table here bring a lavish golden sheen to the house, silently exuding pride and sophistication. Afterall, it is always the quietness of a space that brings about its luxury.
To achieve harmony and visual connection, the colour tone goes on with the primary palette of the living room. This contrivance makes the social area more cohesive.
Taking advantage of the large floor span, a full-height wine cellar is a beautiful and elegant addition to the home, as there is nothing better than a wine cellar as a great conversation starter when entertaining guests. A rectangular marble dining table easily creates an expansive and welcoming space in this living room. It is further paired up with fabric chairs in whisky and champagne-toned velvet. The mix-and-match textures create a play on contrasts and soften the room for a relaxed yet opulent touch. The handcrafted wing-like pendant lights that glow golden lights at the centre of the seaview dining room wrap up the design aspiration from the owners - “Glow in Transcendence”.
The opulent master bedroom is a showpiece of refined elegance and luxurious comfort. The room is adorned with lavish textures and finishes, such as sumptuous silk draperies and shallow but plush carpets. The fluted wooden and marbled walls are finished in soft color, providing a perfect backdrop for the ornate pendant light and floor lamp.
The headboard of the king-sized bed, upholstered in velvet, matches flawlessly with the armchair. The end-of-bed bench adds an extra layer of style to complete the entire hotel-inspired look of the master bedroom. It is also an ideal seating area to relax and unwind while enjoying the stunning seaview.
A well-designed work area could be a haven for productivity and relaxation. A energetic yet soothing ambience is created here by utilising abundant natural light from the huge full-height window. The working desk opposite the bed is a statement piece that brings a touch of glamour. The desk with a transparent leg practically allows room for stretching both legs and inspiration, while the softening chic look of its sleek metallic pedestal leg and the round stools complements the bedroom’s overall aesthetics.
The huge shelf at the back is the key storage solution of this bedroom. Its facet combined by marble, wood slats and matt panels ingeniously adds a sophisticated look with layers to the room. Its sliding door provides easy access to the contents while keeping them out of sight when needed, makes display and uncluttering concurrently possible.
The room also features a stunning en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet, finished in gleaming marble and accented with glass and brass metal fixtures and fittings. With its sophisticated charm and impeccable design, this room is the epitome of elegance and luxury, providing the ultimate retreat for the owners seeking the very best in comfort and style.
